The ‘dead period’ is over, the new year ready to start

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - The traditional mid-summer ‘dead period’ ended today and the 2012-13 athletic school year will hit full speed next Monday when most fall sports will start practice.

Getting a jump on even that schedule has been the Greater Bullitt County Youth Football League which allowed teams to start practice on July 2.
