Several Schools partner with YMCA for Themed Camps.
The Cedar Grove/Lebanon Junction Elementary School Family Resource Center, Bullitt Lick/Bernheim Middle School Youth Service Center and Roby/Mt. Washington Elementary School Family Resource Center will partner with the Bullitt County YMCA to co-host themed camps at Shepherdsville Elementary School.
This event will be from July 15-August 2 and open to all YMCA students in grades kindergarten through fifth registered at the Shepherdsville site.
There will be possible field trips through Bullitt County Public Schools and different agencies will be making presentations throughout the weeks of the camp.

Brooks Elementary School 21st Century Learning Center Camps
Brooks Elementary School’s 21st Century Learning Center is hosting summer camps July 8-11 and July 15-18 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The cost is $25 per child per two week session. Scholarships are available to qualifying students. Transportation will be needed for morning and afternoon pickups at two drop-off locations. For information, contact Brooks at (502) 869-2000.
Summer Fun at Crossroads Elementary School
Free camps by the Family Resource Center and the 21st Century Community Learning Center for Crossroads Elementary School students:
Gardening Club each Wednesday in June from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for students entering grades 1-5. Learn basic gardening skills while planting flowers and vegetables and tending them each week. Students will also learn how to harvest at home to add color and variety to family meals.
All About Me (Fitness/Future Camp) July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. This camp will focus on students’ health and future with components that include character education, anti-bullying, nutrition, overall fitness and tentatively conclude with a day of field trips in the community.
Lights, Camera, Action (Arts and Humanities Camp) July 22-26 from 9:00 am.2:00 p.m. for students entering grades 1-5. Students may be making movies, creating PowerPoints, acting, creating art or music. Find your niche in the arts! This camp will be full of energy and fun as students move through rotations based on different areas of creativity.

Roby/Mt. Washington Elementary School FRC Volleyball Camp
The Roby/Mt. Washington Elementary School Family Resource Center will host a volleyball camp at Pleasant Grove Elementary School July 8-12 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for a maximum of 30 students entering grades 3-6 from MWES and PGES. Old Mill Elementary School Summer Science Camp
July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 3-4. Cost is free! Experience science through exploration! With science as a focus for third and fourth graders, this camp is sure to jump start an interest in science investigation through lab experiments in life science, earth science and physical science. The camp will be held at Old Mill is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Old Mill Elementary School Cooking Camp
July 15-19 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for Old Mill Elementary School students entering grades 1-3. Cost is free! Join us for five days of learning and fun with cooking. All young chefs will have the opportunity to explore cooking in a fun, safe environment where they can prepare and eat their own creations and making new friends. The culminating activity will be designing and creating a cookbook to keep. The camp will be held at Old Mill is sponsored by the Family Resource Center.
Checkmate Chess Camp
Chess camp for grades 1-8. This camp will teach kids the fundamentals of chess. All campers receive a shirt and chess medal. The camp is the week of July 15-19 from 8:00 a.m., - 3:00 p.m. at Maryville Elementary School, 4504 Summers Drive, Louisville, Ky. 40229. The cost is $40.00 from 8:00 a.m.-noon or $60.00 for campers staying until 3:00 p.m.

Bullitt Advanced Math and Science (BAMS) Camp
For students entering 5th through 7th grade in the 2013-2014 school year.
Location: Riverview Opportunity Center

Eastside Middle School Archery Camp
Eastside Middle School will host an archery camp July 8, 10, 12, 16 and 18 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. each evening. The camp is designed for the beginning archer with little or no previous archery experience. The camp is led by Eastside’s head archery coach Sean Link and assistant coach Jim Morsey. The registration fee is $25 and a signed liability waiver is required. Participants must wear closed to shoes. Eastside Middle School Basketball Camp
Eastside Middle School will host a basketball camp July 29-31 for boys entering grades 4-8 from 1-6 p.m. The camp will be coordinated by Jerry Troutman. The cost is $50 per person and the camp will be held at Eastside. For more information, contact Eastside at (502) 869-5000.
Mt. Washington Middle School Basketball Camp
The Mt. Washington Middle School Generals Basketball team will host basketball camps July 8-11 from noon-4:00 p.m. for $60 per student. The camp is open to male students entering grades 4-8. For more information, contact the school at 502-869-5200.
Engineers of Tomorrow Robotics Camp
The Engineers of Tomorrow 2783 are hosting their second camp focusing on robotics July 15-19 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Oldham County High School in Buckner. The early bird fee is $130 per participant or $150 after June 24. Team members and mentors of the Engineers of Tomorrow will run the camps. The purpose of the camps is to provide young adults in the community the opportunity to participate in a science-based camp and to financially support the Robotics Program. Bullitt Central High School Football Camp
Bullitt Central High School hosts its annual Football Camp July 10-12 from 10:00 a.m.-noon. The cost is $30 per student. The camp will be supervised by BCHS staff/coaches and volunteer staff members. Bullitt Advanced Math and Science Summer Camps
The Bullitt Advanced Math and Science program, along with the Bernheim/Bullitt Lick Middle School Youth Service Center, Lebanon Junction/Cedar Grove Family Resource Center and Roby Family Resource Center, will host a series of summer camps. The cost is $25 per camper.
Robotics – July 15-18 from 9:00 a.m.-noon for students entering grades 5-7.
Rocketry – July 15-18 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for students entering grades 5-7.
Astronomy – July 22-25 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. for students entering grades 2-4.
Biology – July 22-25 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for students entering grades 2-4.
