The Bullitt Amateur Radio Society (B.A.R.S.) will be participating in our 31st consecutive Radio Field Day Saturday, June 27, through Sunday, June 28.

On the air start time will begin approximately 2 p.m. Saturday and end 2 p.m. Sunday. Setup begins 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Field Day will be located at Becknell Hall, 4700 Summitt Dr., in Pioneer Village, located off Preston Highway about one mile south of the Jefferson County line. (Directions and club info at www.ky4ky.com)

Field Day is a national exercise, bringing thousands of amateur radio operators out literally into fields and other outdoor venues to showcase the emergency communications abilities of our nation's cadre of ham operators.

B.A.R.S. will literally take an empty field and within a couple of hours have stations capable of communicating around the world, running on emergency power.
