MOUNT WASHINGTON - A deficit in the city’s January treasurer’s report recently drew concern from a Mount Washington councilman.
Councilman Brent Wheeler’s angst quickly turned to relief, however, when the city treasurer explained why the report showed Mount Washington’s water and sewer fund nearly $112,000 in the red during the council’s last regular meeting.
As treasurer Peggy Brinkman reported, water and sewer expenses for the month of January came to $898,609, outpacing the fund’s total revenue of $786,879.
