FRANKFORT - Would you purchase a home without knowing if you can afford it?
Many of us would answer no, or not before we would check to see if we could pay for it.
That statement would apply to debate over House Bill 154 this past week.
This bill was stated to be a transparency bill, but a last-minute committee substitute placed requirements for additional training for local school officials.
Many of us support the idea of transparency, and have filed or co-sponsored legislation in the past to bring more of what government does into the light.
