With the next primary elections for Bullitt County Fiscal Court 14 months away, I would like to encourage all the residents of Bullitt County to attend two or more of the 28 (as of this writing) Fiscal Court meetings before the primary in 2014.
If you attend one meeting that’s not a fair assessment of what your elected Fiscal Court official brings to Fiscal Court.
Please attend at least two meetings to see for yourself which officials are doing the job that our tax dollars paying them to do.
See who is part of the solution and who is part of the problem in moving Bullitt County forward. This would give you an opportunity to make an educated decision when you for these officials. See for yourself and not depend on name recognition, the most signs and campaign literature.
Bullitt Count is one of the fastest growing counties in Kentucky and deserves the very best representation. Fiscal Court meetings are the first and third Tuesdays of every month, the times are 9:30 a.m. except for the first Tuesday in March, June, September and December in which those meetings are at 6:00 p.m. in the evening. The meetings are held in the Fiscal Court room of the Bullitt County Courthouse located at 300 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, the public is invited to attend.
Some of Bullitt County Fiscal Court’s responsibilities are: managing our tax dollars, overseeing the county government budget, working with the county department directors, overseeing the county government expenditures, looking for funding opportunities for county projects, approving ordinances, and approving planning and zoning changes.
Fiscal Court is what controls our County Government. Please attend.
