SHEPHERDSVILLE - Normally, it is a goal to have percentages increase. However, when you are talking about the number of high school students who are dropping out, local officials are looking for declines.
In Bullitt County, the past year saw a tremendous decrease in the number of students who dropped out before graduating.
After seeing 136 students drop out in 2009-10, that number decreased 64 percent to 49 this past academic year.
