Audit reveals just about what many had anticipated... no documentation

-A A +A

Our Views

The city of Shepherdsville spent over $15,000 for a special audit of its financial dealings from 2013-16.

Depending upon who you asked, there is some debate over the return on the investment.

There is no doubt the money was well spent. The question is what has the city found out and what will be done because of it.

The major issue found by the auditing team of Jones Nale and Mattingly was that there were many expenses paid without a lick of documentation.

Who went? Why did they go? What did they spend their per diem money on? Who approved it?
