SHEPHERDSVILLE - Any plans to develop property at the intersection of South Preston Highway and Highway 245 are now over.

However, concerned residents and members of Bardstown Junction Baptist Church will be on the watch for any reoccurrence of a possible rezoning request on that property.

Attorney John Wooldridge, representing the Oma Shaw estate, Debra Shaw and Zoneton Developers, filed a request to withdraw the zoning request on Tuesday, just hours before Bullitt Fiscal Court was to make a decision on the rezoning request from Agricultural to IL Light Industrial.

With the court unanimously approving the withdrawal, the rezoning application could be filed at any time and the entire zoning process would begin again.

Attorney Bruce Simpson, representing the church, said his clients would be very watchful for any resurfacing of the rezoning or a possible annexation into the city of Shepherdsville.
