Cedar Grove Elementary hosted a Back to School Bash and a Watch D.O.G.S. Kickoff to celebrate the new school year

Students were able to enjoy the school’s playground equipment, along with bounce houses and obstacle courses.

P.E. teacher Jimmy Westwood was a good sport by sitting in a dunking booth throughout the event.

Families visited with representatives from the Shepherdville Police and Southeast Bullitt Fire Department, as well as the Bullitt Central Future Farmers of America program, who brought rabbits and baby chicks for petting.

Free hot dog dinners were available, along with Kona Ice.

The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) were able to sign up early for the program and sign up on the year-long schedule for school visitation days.

The event was hosted thanks to assistance from the Family Resource Center.
