Bullitt County Community Education will host a BBQ class on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Students will learn the basics of smoking ribs, brisket, pork butts, salmon/steelhead trout, pork loin, smoked baked beans, chickens and appetizers; use of offset smoker, gas grill, Weber kettle grill and Brinkman Barrel Smoker.
Also, have hands-on instruction including fire management, prepping of meats, making a rub.
Students will be assigned a smoker and will be prepping meats and appetizers.
Lunch will be provided — pulled pork sandwiches, smoked baked beans, chips, cole slaw and bottled water.
Deadline for signups is Thursday, Sept. 13. Class size is limited.
