BC bowling starts fast

 SHEPHERDSVILLE – The Bullitt Central bowling teams have gotten off to a quick start this season through the first three weeks of the regular season.

After the first four matches, the Cougars stand at 3-1 while the Lady Cougars are 2-2.

Last week, the Cougars defeated Moore 5-2 at Ken Bowl Lanes. The Cougars were led in scoring by matt Seat (246, 243) and Jared Borah (219, 189). The following Cougars also had a 200 game or a career best: Nolan Johns (193), Tristen Lindsey (160), Jared Borah (219), Matt Seay (246), Stetson Norton (219), Shawn Dehart (188), Alex Hall (186) and Josh Puher (201).

On the same day, the Lady Cougars lost to Mercy by a 5-2 score. The Lady Cougars were led in scoring by Dallas Taylor (222, 154) and Elizabeth Borah (179, 183). Both Taylor and Elizabeth McBride (154) had season high games.

Bullitt Central will bowl again on Wednesday of this week when they travel to Kingpin Lanes to take on Jeffersontown.

Earlier in the season, Bullitt Central did renew their rivalry with North Bullitt, winning both of the matches that day at North Bullitt’s home lanes, Derby Lanes.

On the girls’ side, Bullitt Central won 4-3 while in the boys’ match the Cougars won 5-2.

Bullitt Central also competed in the Vype Kentucky High School Kickoff Classic Tournament at Fern Valley Strikes and Spare. The Bullitt Central boys bowled against 24 other tam and finished eighth. The Lady Cougars were competing against 17 teams and finished 11th.
