How many ribbon cutting ceremonies do you attend that have someone translating the words into sign language?

Probably not too many.

But as Best Buy officially opened its distribution facility off Cedar Grove Road, there was something special.

Although no quotas exist, the company has realized that adults with special challenges can make very good employees.

The company has partnered with several agencies, such as Options Unlimited, to train and then hire adults with special needs. These employees are placed in every department.

There are no special privileges. They are good workers who bring a pleasant smile and a good outlook on life to the job every day.

We commend Best Buy for not only realizing that it was a wise decision to locate its second facility in Bullitt County. But we commend the company for making sure it has a diversified workforce.
