Big Valley customers may be getting closer to solution on sewer situation

-A A +A

An early Christmas gift

By Thomas Barr

SHEPHERDSVILLE - While the Christmas present may not actually be delivered for several more months, the 45 families who live in the Big Valley community may soon have a much healthier future.

The decades of troubles surrounding the sewer treatment system in the residential community off West Blue Lick Road may soon be coming to an end.

Even before the death of current owner Johnny Ford, the lagoon system did not operate properly. Raw sewage continues to flow through the ditches and across the yards.
