Blue Lick 15 advances to state tournament

OKOLONA - For the second straight year, the Blue Lick All-Stars will be advancing to the state Babe Ruth tournament despite falling in the championship game of district play.By virtue of a combined 13/15 district, both Germantown and Blue Lick will advance to state tourney play beginning July 17 in Hawesville.Playing in a three-team tournament, Blue Lick opened play against Germantown on Saturday.As it would in both games, Blue Lick jumped on top with a run in the first.Cody Montgomery reached on an error and stole second.
