SHEPHERDSVILLE - As expected, the 2011-12 budget for the city of Shepherdsville will look a lot different than the one currently in place.
Shepherdsville councilmembers will vote on the new budget at its June 27 meeting.
Mayor Scott Ellis said supervisors have been working to shave over $3 million from the present budget in light of the deep financial crisis Shepherdsville has suffered.
The general fund will be cut by nearly $5 million, mainly due to the completion of the Highway 480 widening project. The proposed budget will be $6.5 million.
