FRANKFORT - While there are dozens of issues considered during a legislative session, the General Assembly’s top priority in even-numbered years is always the same: Adopt a budget to run state government.
Although planning began months ago, the first official stop of what is a multi-stage process came a little before Christmas, when the state’s Consensus Forecasting Group gave its final revenue forecast and predicted growth of about 2.6 percent annually for the next two fiscal years.
