Budget talks will get down to business

 May and June are times when governmental leaders are faced with the task to determine how much money they will have to spend and how they will spend it.

The new fiscal year begins on July 1. That means that governmental agencies must have their new budgets approved and published in The Pioneer News no later than June 30, 2012.

This means that over the course of the next few weeks, you may be reading about discussions on money issues.

Some cities, such as the smaller municipalities, are probably in the best financial shape.
