Bullitt Central FFA celebrates week; alumni group meets

-A A +A

Warning! A herd of escaped bovines could be mooving your way.

The cattle have escaped from the Bullitt Central FFA chapter who are desperately searching for their lost critters. They tend to prefer grassy areas and could pop up anywhere within the Bullitt County area.

If you happen to find these critters in your own front lawn one morning please contact the local Bullitt Central FFA chapter. The cows are moving at a very moderate pace so be expecting the herd near and around the Shepherdsville area March 5,2012.

In addition to the FFA losing its cow herd they will be celebrating National FFA week Feb. 20-24, 2012. National FFA week is a way that all FFA members across the nation can show their FFA spirit. Not only that but it allows kids an opportunity to spread the word about the Agriculture Industry contributions to the U.S. along with FFA’s. This week is a chance to demonstrate the leadership, family atmosphere and fun that FFA provides to its students.

The FFA Alumni would also like to announce they are looking for sponsers who are willing to help support the Bullitt Central FFA to provide kids with the opportunity for community involvement, leadership opportunities and the chance to kick back and have fun. The sponsorships can be made in four levels - Platinum ($1000+), gold ($500), silver ($50) or bronze ($25). These sponsors will be directly helping those in the community as well as helping the alumni give back to the Bullitt Central FFA students.

If you are interested in sponsering the alumni please contact the Mr. or Mrs. Peake at (502) 869-6000. The Alumni also encourages and invites anyone interested in joining the Alumni to come to their next meeting Thursday Feb. 9, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in Bullitt Central High Schools agriculture shop.

The Alumni Would personally like to thank anyone that would like to sponser them and all those who come together and help the club.
