Bullitt Central JROTC drill team excels during North Hardin meet

SHEPHERDSVILLE – The Cougar Corps drill team placed fifth overall out of 26 teams competing in the 7th Brigade Drill Championships at North Hardin High School.

The Exhibition Platoon earned top honors under Cadet Lieutenant Brandon Ross. Another squad led by Cody Hawkins took third place.

Chris Hogue and Dustin Skeeters earned second place in the Exhibition Duels competition.

Scotty Thompson earned 13th place overall in the unarmed “Knockout” competition, which included a field of more than 800 cadets.

In the Pulaski County Drill Meet, Thompson earned top honors in the IDR armed “Knockout” competition. Rachel Hudson earned third place, Timothy Ross sixth and Robin Loew eighth.

The top Bullitt Central student in the unarmed “Knockout” was Stephen Tyler at third place. Kenneth Daniel earned fifth, Thompson seventh and Rachel Tyler eighth.

Cadet Captain Kyle Austin led his platoon to a second place in the IDR competition, with a third place in platoon inspection.

Austin also led the Open color guard to a third place finish. Ross led the armed color guard to a third place.

Hawkins led the Exhibition squad to a second place finish and placed third in the Individual Exhibition competition.

Austin and Hawkins also earned third place in Exhibition Duels.
