BULLITT COUNTY ROADWORK: Week of June 22

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled in Bullitt County for the week of June 22:

Bullitt County:

Interstate 65: Lane closures and delays are possible in both directions between the KY 61 underpass and the Bullitt/Jefferson County line (mile points 118.5 and 123.1) for concrete pavement repairs. The roadway may be reduced to two lanes weeknights from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. and weekends from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Additionally, the roadway may be reduced to one lane on weekend nights from 9 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone and double-fines will be enforced. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2009.

 

Interstate 65: Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between mile point 110.7 in Bullitt County and mile point 102.1 in Hardin County for concrete pavement repairs. The roadway may be reduced to two lanes weekdays from 6-8 a.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. Friday until 10 p.m. Sunday. All other hours the roadway may be reduced to one lane. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone and double-fines will be enforced. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2009.

 

 

Jefferson County:

Interstate 65: Lane closures and delays are possible in both directions between the Bullitt/Jefferson County line and ½ mile north of the Outer Loop (mile points 123.1 and 127.5) for concrete pavement repairs. The roadway may be reduced to two lanes weeknights from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. and weekends from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Additionally, the roadway may be reduced to one lane on weekend nights from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 MPH in the construction zone and double-fines will be enforced. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2009. 

Interstate 264/Interstate 64 interchange: Shoulder closures and delays possible at the ramp to westbound I-64 approaching the Sherman Minton Bridge (mile point 0.1) for ramp replacement. In addition, shoulder closures and delays are possible on eastbound Interstate 64 at the ramp to eastbound I-264 (mile point 0.19) as part of this construction project. Construction is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010.

Interstate 64: Lane closures and delays between I-265 and the Jefferson/Shelby County line (mile points 18.8 and 23.9) June 22-26 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. for roadway widening. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone and double-fines will be enforced. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010. As part of this project, KY 1531 is closed at the I-64 overpass. The road will be closed through the end of the week for utility work. The closure of Gilliland Road at I-64 is currently scheduled for Monday, June 29, and will continue for approximately four months. Motorists should follow the signed detour.

Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway): Lane closures and delays possible between US 60 and US 42 (mile points 19.8 and 22.2) for construction of an interchange at Westport Road. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 MPH in the construction zone. Lane closures and delays are also possible on Westport Road between Hubbards Lane and I-264 (mile points 0.9 and 1.9). Speed limit on Westport Road has been reduced to 25 MPH in the construction zone.  Construction is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010.

KY 155 (Taylorsville Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 148 and Hopewell Road (mile points 4.2 and 6.4) for roadway resurfacing.

KY 841 (Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible between US 31W and Interstate 65 (mile points 0 to 10.0) for median cable barrier installation. Lane closures are possible from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway): Lane closures and delays possible between Interstate 64 and US 60 (mile points 2.5 and 4.2) for roadway striping. 

KY 1931 (Greenwood Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Cane Run Road and Dixie Highway (mile points 0 and 3.13) for roadway resurfacing. Lane closures are possible daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
