The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled in Bullitt County for the week of May 24:
KY 1417 (Martin Hill Road): Temporarily closed between mile points 0 and 1 for slide repairs. The roadway is scheduled for closure from 8 a.m. Monday, May 24, until 5 p.m. Friday, May 28.
KY 1526 (Knob Creek Road): Lane closures and delays possible between KY 44 and KY 2672 (mile points 0 and 4.9) for roadway resurfacing.
KY 1494 (Beech Grove Road): Roadway is closed at the bridge over Long Lick Creek (mile point 5.5) for bridge replacement. Motorists should detour the area via KY 61.
Southbound Interstate 71: Ramp to westbound I-264 will be closed Monday evening, May 24th from 7:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. to allow for guardrail repairs.
Westbound Interstate 264: Shoulder closures and delays possible on ramp to US 42 due to tree and brush removal.
Northbound Interstate 65: Exit ramp to Fern Valley Road will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26th until 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27th. This closure will allow for chip and seal work.
Westbound Interstate 264: Entrance ramp from US 42 will be closed on Sunday, May 23rd from 5:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. due to milling of the roadway. The ramp will be closed again from 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25th until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26th to allow for resurfacing.
Interstate 265: Lane closures and delays possible between the Seatonville Road overpass and Taylorsville Road (mile points 18.8 and 23.3). The roadway may be reduced to one lane weeknights Monday ee" Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane closures are possible from 7:00 p.m. on Friday until 6:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 55 MPH.
Interstate 64: Construction delays possible between I-265 and the Jefferson/Shelby County line (mile points 18.8 and 23.9) due to roadway widening. The speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone and this is a double fine work zone. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010. As part of this project, Clark Station Road is closed at the I-64 overpass. The road is closed until November for removal and replacement of the bridge. Motorists should follow the signed detour via US 60 to Conner Station Road (in Shelby County) to KY 148.
Interstate 264/Interstate 64 interchange: Shoulder closures and delays possible at the ramp to westbound I-64 approaching the Sherman Minton Bridge (mile point 0.1) due to ramp replacement. Entrance ramp from Bank Street to westbound I-264 is at a STOP condition, no longer a merge condition. Intermittent lane closures possible on Northwestern Parkway underneath I-264.
US 31 (Clark Memorial Bridge): Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction to allow for repairs and painting.
US 31W (Dixie Highway): Roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the bridge over the Salt River (mile point 0.03) due to bridge repairs. The travel lanes are 11 feet in width. The speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH in the work zone.
US 60A (Eastern Parkway): Roadway is closed between Hahn Street and the entrance to the J. B. Speed School of Engineering (mile point 3.8 to 3.7). This closure will allow for extensive repairs to the bridge over the CSX Railroad. Motorists should follow the signed detour via Crittenden Drive, Central Avenue and Third Street (KY 1020).
KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road): Lane closures and delays possible at the intersections of South Park Road (mile point 2.17) and Preston Highway (mile point 3.5) due to traffic loop detector installation.
KY 1447 (Westport Road): Lane closures and delays possible between Hubbards Lane and I-264 (mile points 0.9 and 1.9) due to roadway widening. Speed limit on Westport Road has been reduced to 25 MPH in the construction zone.
KY 1703 (Newburg Road): Roadway is reduced to one lane in each direction at Produce Lane (mile point 0.99) due to bridge repairs.
KY 1819 (Ruckreigel Parkway): Lane closures and delays possible between Taylorsville Road and Blankenbaker Parkway (mile points 9.3 and 9.9) due to roadway resurfacing. Lane closures possible weeknights from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
