The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled in Bullitt County for the week of October 12:
I-65: Pending construction on northbound and southbound lanes between Outer Loop and Fern Valley Road (mile points 126.7 and 128.3) is scheduled to begin this weekend to mill and resurface a half-mile section of the roadway as well as portions of the ramps in this area. Lane closures are scheduled this weekend for the collector/distributor lanes and exit ramps southbound to the Outer Loop (Exit 127) and northbound I-65 to Fern Valley Road (Exit 128). These closures will take place from 9 p.m. Friday, October 17, through 5 a.m. Monday, October 20. Entrance and exit ramps will remain open.
Paving on the mainline I-65 lanes is scheduled for the weekend of October 24-27. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes in each direction. Motorists will be diverted away from the construction activity by utilizing the collector/distributor lanes at Outer Loop and Fern Valley Road exits. Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 through 5 a.m. on Monday, October 27. All entrance and exit ramps will remain open. Speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH. Motorists should expect delays.
I-71: Shoulder closures and delays possible between milepoints 8 and 11 due to expansion work.
I-264 (Watterson Expressway): Lane closures possible between Shelbyville Road and Brownsboro Road due to construction. The speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH in the construction zone.
I-265 (Snyder Freeway): One southbound lane will be closed between I-71 and Brownsboro Road for pavement repairs. Lane closures are scheduled from 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 until midnight.
I-265: One lane will be closed in each direction at the Westport Road overpass from 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone.
Highway 31EX: Temporary closure between Highway 44 East and Highway 2706 (Kings Church Road) on Friday, Oct. 24, from 6-9 p.m. as part of Mount Washington's Concert in the Park and Hayride.
