While basketball camps seem to dominate the landscape at this time of year, it was baseball that got top billing last week at the Bullitt East Baseball Camp which was run under the direction of Charger head coach Jeff Bowles. This was the first year for the event, but it drew almost 100 players to the morning and afternoon sessions. The three-day camp was conducted at the Mount Washington Youth Baseball and Softball facility at Mount Washington Elementary School.
There was a heavy emphasis on fundamentals as players were taught about base running, hitting, fielding and throwing.
