SHEPHERDSVILLE - The craziness that everyone expected when the new alignments were announced last year, will happen next week as Bullitt County teams in volleyball, boys’ soccer and girls’ soccer will compete in six different district tournament at six different sites.

Four of the tournaments have already announced their brackets for next week.

The boys’ soccer tournament in the 23rd District and the girls’ soccer event in the 24th District were still waiting on a few more games to be played before the final pairings will be known later this week.

All six of the tournaments are seeded so the outcome of some matches was still needed.

As expected, the new alignment, at least here in the fall, has benefitted North Bullitt and Bullitt Central and hampered Bullitt East

North and Central are seeded first and second in both volleyball and girls’ soccer.

Bullitt East will have no seed better than a second in girls’ soccer.

As in the past, the top two teams in each of the six tournaments will advance to the Sixth Region Tournaments which will be played the week of Oct. 15. All of the regional tournaments will be played in Jefferson County.
