SHEPHERDSVILLE - It was just two months ago when family and friends of 23-year-old Jesse Keeling dealt with her tragic death following a crossover accident on Interstate 65.
"If there would've been (a cable barrier) Jessi's life would've been saved," friend Tarra Ragan said.
Keeling's acquaintances were both pleased and relieved to learn that state officials were taking action: During a Wednesday press coference Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear announced that portions of I-65 in Bullitt County would receive cable barriers to prevent future crossover accidents.
