MOUNT WASHINGTON - Elementary and middle school students from across Bullitt County recently participated in the second annual Camp Corral at the Sycamore Pond Horse Center in Mount Washington.

During the week-long camp, the 20 students who participanted had the opportunity to partake in educational outdoor activities like roping sawhorse bulls, fishing, crafts, working with horses, and hanging out with their friend, Jack the donkey.

“This is good country fun,” said Tracy Gould of Shepherdsville Elementary’s family resource center.

Emma Pressley, who attended the first Camp Corral last year, said she loved her camp experience, adding that she planned to participate again next year.

“It‘s so much fun,” Pressley said. “My favorite part is walking the horses.”

Camp Corral is hosted by the family resource centers of Shepherdsville Elementary, Bernheim Middle and Bullitt Lick Middle.
