SHEPHERDSVILLE - A vehicle was pulled from the Salt River at Shepherdsville City Park Wednesday afternoon.
No one was in the car when it rolled into the river, according to Shepherdsville Police.
The driver, Nathaniel Hardy of Hillview, said he and his friends were at the park searching for a cemetery. Hardy parked the car in a small lot near the pedestrian walkway entrance.
Hardy and his two friends never heard the car move. When they returned from the cemetery they noticed it was gone. They then discovered it rolled down the hill.
Police said the car, a black Nissan, was left in neutral. It broke through a small cable wire, rolled off a steep bank and landed upside-down in the river.
No charges were filed and no injuries were reported.
Shepherdsville Fire units also responded to the scene.
