This year’s show will still have some beauties, but maybe not the ones you normally think of. There will be no pageants at the Old Fashioned Days Festival this year, but there will be a car show.

Bobby Hartlage, coordinator of the contest, said this is an open car show so anyone is welcome to enter.

“Everything is welcome,” he said.

It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 28, the second day of the festival. The fee to enter is $10.

Participants can register with him on site until 1 p.m. or in advance by calling him at 488-0427.

Awards will be given away for “Best of Show,” “Best GM,” “Best Other” and “Best Mopar.” Hartlage said judges will be examining criteria such as the interior of the car, the paint job and its overall look.

He said he hopes the show will have a good turnout. If a good amount of people enter Hartlage said he might be able to give away some door prizes every half hour.
