SHEPHERDSVILLE – When the season started, first-year Bullitt Central softball coach Mike Phillips felt he was strong at the pitching position.
That situation lasted just about three weeks. As of last week, Phillips was having to cancel or postpone games because he had no varsity pitching available. The coach didn’t feel that it would be fair to the team’s foes to put young and inexperienced players against top-tier competition.
That will be the case again this week as Phillips is taking it one game at a time.
