SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt Central Cougars picked up their first victory of the season in 23rd District play on Wednesday when the maroon and gray traveled up I-65 and defeated Evangel 51-43.

With games still remaining against Moore and Southern in February, the Cougars now stand 1-1 in the games that will be used to seed the upcoming tournament which will be played at North Bullitt.

The win on Wednesday was the first in the month of December for the Cougars who were prepping for homecoming on Friday, but that event got postponed because of icy conditions. As of Friday, no make-up date for the game with Spencer County or homecoming had been set.
