MOUNT WASHINGTON - When Bullitt East head coach Troy Barr changed up his offensive scheme back over the summer, he credited the new look to what the North Oldham Mustangs were doing.

Well North Oldham got an up-close look at that offense on Tuesday as Bullitt East used it for a huge second half rally to beat the Mustangs 69-65 on the road.

The win was the fifth in a row for the Chargers since losing in the Louisville Invitational Tournament.

Amazingly, the two teams combined to make 27 of 30 free throw attempts in the game. All three misses were by North Oldham in the fourth quarter as Bullitt East was 15 of 15 for the game.

North Oldham raced out to a 25-13 lead in the first quarter and the home team was still ahead 41-30 at halftime.

Bullitt East turned up the offense in the second half, pulling even at 53-53 at the end of the third quarter. The Chargers then made eight straight free throws over the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Juniors Hayden Sweat and Corey Washburn led the Chargers with 20 and 18 points, respectively. Bullitt East also got ten points from senior Chase Troutman and nine points from freshman Rusty Troutman.

Eagles Fall Again

For the fourth time this season, North Bullitt traveled south to Hodgenville and the outcome was no better this time as the Hawks won 69-52.

The first three trips south were for the holiday tournament where North Bullitt went 1-2.

This time, the Eagles fell behind 23-7 in the first quarter and could not get back in the game.
