The 59th annual Shepherdsville National Day of Prayer Event begins at noon on May 6, 2010, with the blowing of a Ram’s horn.
On the first Thursday in May, this prayer event takes place at the Pavilion in the Shepherdsville West 1st Street Park by Salt River.
This 50-minute event accommodates those attending during their lunch hour.
Again this year, a child’s prayer will be prayed along with the area pastors.
A random selection of prayers submitted will be printed as an insert of the program for the National Day of Prayer event held on May 6.
One randomly selected prayer from those submitted will also be prayed at the event.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” We need to train our children up in the way they should go. The best way to train in God’s way is to provide children time to talk to and have a relationship with God. Prayer is talking, consulting, as well as requesting.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR A CHILD’S PRAYER
HEY KIDS! Prayer is part of your relationship with God just like you would spend time talking to your best friend.
God is to be our best friend. Tell him what is on your heart.
WHAT REALLY CONCERNS YOU? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO TALK TO YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER ABOUT?
Print neatly or type your prayer on a sheet of paper. Please be sure to include name, age, address, and phone number. The deadline for prayer submissions is Monday, April 26, 2010.
Each child who submits a prayer will receive a free buffet certificate for Mr. Gatti’s in Shepherdsville.
When submitting your prayer, you also need to send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Donna Bradshaw at the address below in order to receive your free buffet certificate.
Free buffet certificates will be mailed after May 10, 2010.
Mail to: DONNA BRADSHAW, 1046 APPLE VALLEY WAY, SHEPHERDSVILLE, KENTUCKY 40165 or call 1-(502)-543-0825 or email: email@example.com.
