Cities still look for ways to generate funds

            City governments were in the hunt for additional revenue in 2012.

            In Hillview, the city opted to take 2.5 percent of the 5 percent insurance tax imposed for the past decade by county government.

            Later in the year, the city was hit by an $11 million judgment in a long-standing lawsuit filed by Truck America Training.
