SHEPHERDSVILLE - It should have been done years ago but the city of Shepherdsville is playing catch up.
The council unanimously approved an ordinance regulating standards which must be met for post-construction work dealing with surface water issues.
Engineer Angi Johnston said Shepherdsville passed two of the three ordinances required for the Clean Water Act.
In passing the ordinance, she said Shepherdsville would be required to provide enforcement to make sure developers are following the standards set forth in the post-construction requirements.
