SHEPHERDSVILLE - The community will have its first opportunity to hear all five candidates for Bullitt County Judge/Executive on stage at the same time.
The only catch is that you have to be a member of the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce to hear what they are saying.
The Chamber will host a luncheon on Thursday, March 18, at Paroquet Springs Conference Centre. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and program at Noon.
Tickets are $15 each.
Executive Director Kristie Walls said the luncheon would be an opportunity for the five candidates to introduce themselves to business leaders in the community.
The Meet the Candidates luncheon will allow each of the hopefuls a chance to speak for seven minutes.
Walls said there would be no questions from the floor or from one another.
It would simply be a chance for each to give their platform.
Those scheduled to appear are Democrats Kenny Hardin, Joe Sohm and David Strange, as well as Republicans Depp Rasner and incumbent Melanie Roberts.
Reservations for Chamber members must be made by Monday, March 15, by contacting the chamber office at 955-9641. Memberships to the Chamber are also being taken for those who wish to attend the luncheon but are not currently members.
