The BCHS Class of 1972 was the second class to graduate from Bullitt Central High School, which opened in September 1970 following the merger of three former Bullitt County High Schools: Lebanon Junction High School, Mount Washington High School and Shepherdsville High School. BCHS Class of 1972 members who had attended each of those three former high schools were represented at the BCHS Class of 1972 40-Year Reunion.
Since graduating 40 years ago, members of the BCHS Class of 1972 have taken several opportunities to reunite and reminisce. The class held a 5-Year Reunion Picnic at BCHS in 1977 and 10-Year, 15-Year, 20-Year, 25-Year, 35-Year, and 40-Year class reunions at various locations in Bullitt and Jefferson counties. A 30-Year Reunion, that would have occurred in 2002, was the only event not held during these five-year cycles following the class’ 1972 graduation.
Tentative plans are for the BCHS Class of 1972 to hold a 45-Year Class Reunion in 2017.
