HILLVIEW - A collision between a pickup truck and a train snarled rush hour traffic Thursday morning.
Hillview Police were called at 7:41 a.m. when a 1992 blue and white Ford F-150 pickup truck, headed westbound on Brooks Hill Road, collided with the train and wound up south of the crossing near Highway 1020.
The driver, Bernardo Trevino of Louisville, was not injured. Hillview Police Ofc. Darren Vires said a CSX train engineer reported that Trevino left the vehicle just seconds prior to impact.
According to Vires, Trevino's truck stalled while crossing the tracks. He said Trevino tried but could not move the truck in time.
The stopped train blocked the intersection for about 30 minutes, Vires said.
Bullitt County EMS also responded to the scene.
