SHEPHERDSVILLE - A former educator will now have a seat on the Bullitt County Public School Board.
Darrell Coleman has defeated incumbent Sammy Allen for the District Five seat.
In his campaign, Coleman said that he felt the teachers' perspective was needed on the school board.
He retired after 18 years at Riverview High School. He felt there was a real displeasure from teachers and staff about the direction the district was taking under superintendent Keith Davis and the school board.
