Community awareness event Saturday for domestic violence

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - The goal is to one day have a shelter for abused men and women to seek temporary housing.

The problems of domestic violence continue to grow across the county.

In Bullitt County, a first-time event is being held.

A community awareness day for domestic violence will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Shepherdsville City Park.

In conjunction with the Center for Women and Families, this event will be staged to raise awareness of domestic violence in the community.
