MOUNT WASHINGTON - Currently the speed limit along Old Bardstown Road in Mount Washington varies from 35 to 45 miles per hour, but that may change if city officials have their way.
During their Jan. 23 regular meeting, Mount Washington City Council members discussed establishing a consistent 35 mph along Old Bardstown Road from where it meets the 31E Bypass at the north and south ends of the city.
Mount Washington Utilities Superintendent Ronnie Fick pointed out that Old Bardstown Road, or 31E, is a state road.
