SHEPHERDSVILLE -- A critical service provided to those who have been victims of criminal acts may not not always have that service.
The VINE system, which provides notification to victims when those charged with crime are released or have upcoming court dates, may not always be in operation.

And how long could the system be inoperable?
Bullitt County Attorney Monica Robinson said she was recently told that the VINE system was not operating in Bullitt County.
