In the world of “no-brainers,” Bullitt Fiscal Court was correct in jumping into the Substance Abuse Program offered by the state corrections cabinet.
The hope is that Bullitt County’s application for the program is accepted and a program to assist those with abuse issues inside the detention center can get help.
For those involved in the court system, it is painfully obvious that a vast majority of the problems in society deal with drugs and alcohol. The substance abuse issues are blamed for over 90 percent of the crimes committed nationally.
