Well, two out of three isn’t too bad.
The Bullitt County Parks Committee made its first recommendation to fiscal court and the proposal was unanimously accepted.
Bullitt Fiscal Court unanimously approved the month payment of lighting for the basketball court next to Roby Elementary.
Parks member Jim White mentioned on several occasions the desire to see lights be installed on the court.
For years, the court has been heavily utilized by basketball players.
June Daugherty, executive director of the Bullitt County YMCA, made the request on behalf of the parks committee.
Committee member Mark Mitchell would get approval from the school board for the lighting.
Daugherty said the pole would be $135 and Salt River Electric would install it.
Two lights would be needed at a cost of $34 per month.
The court voted unanimously to pay for the monthly utility bill.
No restrictions were placed on the hours of operation at the court.
