FRANKFORT – The Department for Local Government (DLG) today announced an Area Development Fund (ADF) grant of $6,158.25 to the Bullitt County Fiscal Court, designated toward the Med Car Purchase Project.

Grant funds will assist the county in the purchase of two vehicles for emergency medical services.

“I am pleased that these ADF funds will be allocated towards EMS transportation in Bullitt County.  Allocating resources to emergency responders is always a priority wherever public health and safety are concerned,” said DLG Commissioner Sandra Dunahoo.

“This ADF grant will assist Bullitt County in the purchase of new vehicles for the purposes of providing emergency medical response to the community.  In an effort to steward our public resources wisely, health and safety is always a matter of our concern,” said Sen Dan Seum.

“I’m appreciative of DLG and Bullitt County officials securing these much needed resources.  These new vehicles will benefit EMS and the community for years to come,” said Rep Russell Webber.

Established in 1976 by the Kentucky General Assembly, the ADF Grant program exists to fund community and industrial development projects.  This project was approved by Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency board of directors before being submitted to DLG for final approval.
