SHEPHERDSVILLE - You dangle a $10,000 worm in front of the Bullitt County Public School Board and members will wake up pretty early to grab it.
With a new law going into effect on Tuesday, Bullitt County school officials opted to hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. to approve a measure to raise the dropout age to 18.
The change begins with the 2015-16 school year.
For the first 96 school districts which adopt the higher dropout age, there is a $10,000 grant for implementation.
