Couple arrested for meth trafficking

 The following was released by the Shepherdsville Police Department:

On February 7, 2018, the Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle on KY44e near Melwood Drive for operating with one headlight.  When officers approached the vehicle, they observed a digital scale on the front seat that appeared to be covered in methamphetamine.  Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located 3 bags of methamphetamine with a total weight of over 1/2 pound, several thousand dollars in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

The Street Crimes Unit and Fourth Platoon then served a search warrant in the 300 block of Circle Drive.  They seized another bag of suspected methamphetamine, a bag of marijuana, cash, 13 vehicles, ammunition and several firearms (one of which had been entered into NCIC as stolen).

A second search warrant was served at a business located in the 1700 block of Cedar Grove Road.  Officers seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

Jeremy Dunton, 36 of Shepherdsville, was arrested on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence, One Headlight, and Resisting Arrest.

Analisa Dunton, 31 of Shepherdsville, was arrested on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing Governmental Operations, Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
