Deadline nears for Bullitt Co. Farm Bureau scholarships

 It is the time of year, HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, to get scholarship applications to fill out for college opportunities.

Bullitt County Farm Bureau gives 4 $2,000 scholarships.  The requirements are  

*Have either a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or a minimum score of 19 on the ACT

*be the child of a Bullitt County Farm Bureau member and remain such while the scholarship is in force

*finish high school within the year they apply for the scholarship.

Bullitt County Farm Bureau Young Farmers also give a $1,000 scholarship.  The requirements for this scholarship are:

*have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

*be the child of a Bullitt County Farm Bureau member during the previous year and current year

*finish high school within the year they apply for the scholarship

*be a senior at a Bullitt County High School.

The Bullitt County Farm Bureau scholarships and the young farmer scholarship are due March 15 and will be mailed to the following address:  Harriet Brooks, P O Box 156, Shepherdsville, KY  40165 or dropped off at the office at 217 South Buckman Street.

Kentucky Farm Bureau Scholarship Program Applications are being taken at this time and will be sent to Scholarship Coordinator, Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation, 9201 Bunsen Parkway, P O Box 20700, Louisville, KY  40250-0700.  These scholarships must be postmarked by February 28, 2017 or hand delivered by that date to the KFB State Office in Louisville.
