Defendant said he was told to lie about story

 SHEPHERDSVILLE - Michael St. Clair admitted on Thursday that he was a drug dealer in Oklahoma, paid off jail deputies to allow him to escape in 1991 and did accompany Dennis Reese to Kentucky in October 1991.

But he said he was not guilty of killing an innocent man like Frank Brady on Oct. 6, 1991.

These were just part of the revelations Thursday as St. Clair will soon decide his fate. A Bullitt Circuit Court jury panel is expected to hear closing arguments and then begin deliberations on Friday morning in the resentencing hearing for St. Clair.
