SHEPHERDSVILLE - The news out of Jefferson County recently that public high schools would no longer be allowed to use middle school students in their athletic programs caught a lot of people by surprise, including many in Bullitt County.
Despite the fact that Bullitt County schools now compete with Jefferson County schools in many sports, don’t expect the landscape to change locally.
There is no push here to limit middle school age athletes from competing on high school teams, for a number of reasons.
